What you need to know:

Applications for Summer 2026 are currently closed. All remaining program spots will only be processed through Boston Public School's 5th Quarter of Learning. BPS Families - please visit this website for more information or view this flyer.

The 2026 Summer Program will run from June 29th to August 7th.

  1. Horizons at DCD is a 6-week summer enrichment program that takes place on the campus of Dedham Country Day School.
  2. All Horizons students make a 10-year commitment to the program, and points of entry are Pre-K & K.
  3. All families and new students must qualify for our program based on the federal income guidelines. Below is how we determine whether a family and or new student qualifies. Families must submit either of the following documents:
    1. First Page of 1040
    2. Unemployment Letter
  4. Horizons at DCD has partnerships with schools in the Boston Public School System and the Dedham Public School System. The majority of our enrolled students were recommended by teachers from these partner schools.
  5. Each year priority is given to eligible students that attended the previous summer.
  6. Priority to new openings in lower grades (Pre-K & K) is given to siblings of currently enrolled students.
  7. If a student does not return, we fill their spot. This is rare and generally there are not openings in grades above Pre-K and K.
  8. Horizons at DCD does not have openings for 8th grade.
  9. Re-enrollment typically begins in October and ends in January.
  10. New applicant recruitment and enrollment typically begins in October. Application deadline is March 1, 2026.

Each day begins at 8:15 AM and students are dismissed at 3:00 PM. We provide breakfast, lunch and a snack daily.  Transportation is also provided for students locally.
